A single parrot carved entirely from amethyst — the only purple bird in the collection — perches on a cluster of smoky quartz with red and green accented tail feathers. The amethyst body carries the deep violet saturation that gemologists prize, with lighter lavender tones emerging in the wing edges where Fabiano carved thinnest.
The smoky quartz base was selected for its warm amber undertones, which complement the cool purple of the bird. The rose quartz hexagonal base adds a geometric precision to the bottom of the composition. This is the only solo bird carved from amethyst — making it a true one-of-one within a collection of one-of-ones.
"Amethyst is the color of royalty. A single bird in amethyst is a king alone on his throne."
— FABIANO · MINAS GERAIS, BRAZIL
